These courses have been designed to meet the approved training curriculum for NRCan. Students will be qualified to write the regulatory written exams followed by practical examination after the completion of qualifying work experience. Written exams can be scheduled and completed at Keyano College.
Certification by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is a requirement, and training is mandatory and provided by NRCan’s approved Vocational Schools. NDT training will prepare students for the NRCan examinations, in accordance with the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) Specification 48-GP-9712, Examination and Certification of Non-destructive Testing Personnel and CSA Standard PCP-09.
NRCan Written & Practical exams
With the implementation of CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014/(ISO 9712:2012, IDT) which took effect on March 31st 2015, NRCan can no longer issue the Practical Admittance unless the client provides a minimum of 50% of the Qualified Work Experience, as indicated in the table below:
